Scripture: John 21:1–19

Peter went fishing.
Not because he didn’t believe in Jesus anymore—but because he didn’t know what to do next. It was familiar. Comfortable. But even after a full night’s work, the nets were empty.

Then Jesus showed up.
And with one word—“Try the other side”—everything changed.

Here’s the Heart of the Lesson:

1. When we follow Jesus, our ordinary becomes sacred.
The nets didn’t fill because of Peter’s skill. They filled because of Jesus’ presence.

Lesson: The same work, done with Jesus, brings a different result.

2. Loving Jesus means casting your net.
He told Peter years earlier, “I will make you fishers of men.” Now He reminds him again: If you love me, you go fishing.

Lesson: If you’re not casting—at home, at work, in conversation—you’re not really following.

3. Loving Jesus means feeding the sheep.
Three times Jesus asked, “Do you love me?” And three times He answered, “Then feed my sheep.”
Real love shows up in real care for others.

Lesson: Don’t just say you love Jesus. Show it—by nurturing the people He’s given you.

Final Takeaway:
If you love Jesus, you do two things:
🎣 You fish for people who don’t know Him.
🐑 You feed the people who already do.

Everything else is secondary.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to love you not just with words, but with action. Make me bold enough to fish and humble enough to feed. Amen.
