A Call to Humility and Surrender
Pastor Jerry reminded us this week of a powerful truth we often forget in the busyness of life: we are dust, and to dust we will return. This isn’t just a reminder of our mortality—it’s an invitation to humility. Everything we have, everything we do, and everything we are depends on Jesus. Without Him, we can do nothing.

Dying to Self, Living for Christ
To walk with Christ means more than believing—it means surrendering. Our desires must be laid down so His can rise in us. When we sacrifice our will for His, we find true purpose. As Pastor Jerry said, we need to die to self so that we can live to Jesus. That’s not just poetic—it’s a daily, deliberate act of faith.

Let Jesus Be Your Motivation
When we live for God, we invite His presence into every part of our lives. His Spirit empowers, motivates, and sustains us. But we only receive that power when we give up our pride, our plans, and our control.

Scriptures to Reflect On:

  • Genesis 3:19 – “For dust you are and to dust you will return.”

  • John 15:5 – “Apart from me you can do nothing.”

  • Galatians 2:20 – “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.”

Challenge for the Week:
Ask yourself each morning: “What part of me needs to die today so that Christ can live more fully in me?”

Let that question shape your prayers, your choices, and your surrender.
